Questions

Do I need an account or a subscription?
No. There's no account, no login and no subscription. Everything works offline.

Which equipment does Kettlebuddy support?
Anything you have at home: dumbbells, kettlebells, resistance bands, a chair, a pull-up bar, a bench, a box, a stability ball and more, or no equipment at all. Tick yours in Settings → Home equipment. Under Dumbbells, Kettlebell and Band you can also say which weights and bands you own, and every suggestion will use one of them.

How does the plan change over time?
When you hit your targets, the reps go up, then the weight, then you move on to a harder version of the move. A missed target stays the same; missed twice, it steps back a little. Rating a session very hard holds the next step back. After a break of a week or more, you ease back in.

Can I make my own workouts?
Yes. In Library you can build a workout from the exercises, with sets, reps or time, weights or bands, supersets and circuits, and save it. Ready-made workouts are there too, and you can copy and change them.

How does Apple Health work?
Turn it on in Settings → Apple Health. Finished workouts are saved as strength training, and your other workouts (runs, rides) are read so they count when the next sessions are planned. Nothing leaves your iPhone.

My knee is sore, or I'm tired today. Can the plan take that into account?
Yes. On Today, tap Change and pick what fits under How you feel: Low on energy, or a sore shoulder, elbow or wrist, back, hip, or knee or ankle. Then tap Plan again. Moves that load a sore spot are left out, and a low-energy day has fewer sets and lighter weights. Why this workout? says what changed. If a pain is sharp or doesn't go away, see a doctor.

I don't see the note box.
A note ("knee's sore", "only 20 minutes") is understood on your iPhone by Apple Intelligence, so the box appears only when it's on: in the iPhone's Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri, on an iPhone that supports it. Without it, the How you feel choices above do the same for sore spots and low energy.

The countdown sound doesn't play.
Check Settings → Timer and sounds in Kettlebuddy and the volume of your iPhone. The countdown plays on silent mode and with the iPhone locked.

How do I change the language?
Kettlebuddy follows your iPhone's language. To use another one just for Kettlebuddy, open Settings → Language in the app, or the iPhone's Settings → Apps → Kettlebuddy → Language. Kettlebuddy is available in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.

How do I export or delete my data?
Settings → Your data: Export workouts as CSV gives you every set you've logged; Delete everything removes all your data from Kettlebuddy. Workouts already saved to Apple Health stay there.

Is my data private?
Yes. Everything stays on your iPhone; see the privacy policy.

Kettlebuddy isn't medical advice. If you have a health condition or an injury, or are pregnant, check with a doctor before you start.
